Notes

  • FC : Unit can be built at a Friendly city within the Homeland Build Zone of the nation.
  • (Cargo): Carrying capacity of a ship unit.
  • Cargo: Cost of the unit to be carried by a ship unit..
  • Iron Mole: Against forts, the Iron Mole’s Siege value is used against the Siege strength of the forts; in an Active Siege a Iron Mole’s Siege value is used against the Wall Points of the city or fortress; in a Passive Siege, each Iron Mole has a Passive Siege Value of 5; used in civil construction of tunnels, each Iron Mole provides 2D6 NFP a turn.
  • Armored Train: can move along a railroad length.
  • Under Sea Vessel: Only capable of performing an underwater ram against the hull of hostile vessels. It therefore attacks the Armor strength of the ships and cannot engage in surface warfare. The Armor rating of the target vessel acts as a negative modifier to the Undersea Vessel’s Naval QR, in the contest between the two QRs.
  • Marines: Infantry carried on an Aéronef (but not on transports) fight in any boarding actions and close combat as marines. If the nation has completed the R&D Paratroops project, then Paratroop units can be carried by and jump from the craft. No other unit types can fight aboard an Aéronef.
  • Deployable Craft: an Aéronef Dreadnaught can carry and deploy and regather in flight either two Aéronef Scouts or two gyroplanes or two bi-plane fighters.

  • The Armor represents the combination of armor, structural strength, compartmentalization, damage control, etc., as it applies to gunnery, torpedoes and bombing.
  • The Aerial Torpedo Attack Factor is gained with the completion of the 'R&D: Aerial Torpedoes' project.
  • The Anti-Aircraft Strength is the Combat bonus the unit gains against aéronefs, airships and aircraft. Note that as an aéronef lacks the large and vulnerable gasbag of an airship, aircraft do not gain a significant bonus in combat against them.
  • Ranged indicates the long range Combat factor of the unit.
  • The Scouting Factor indicates the bonus the unit provides in assessing tactical initiative. Some steampunk units give away their position either by plumes of smoke or their sheer size. If an Aéronef Dreadnaught is carrying one or more Aéronef Scouts or Gyroplanes these can offset its own massive silhouette.
