Chinese: a sea-going ship with a compartmented hull and fore-and-aft lugsails on multiple masts. Some were over 200 feet long, with the largest at over 400 feet. These ships were used for trade and exploration, some reaching Aotearoa to trade in jade with the Maori whilst others may have reached Fusang prior to the migration of the Nisei.
