• Norman: 'dragon' or 'kite'.
• A hot air balloon. These were useful for artillery spotting, and in the late 17th Century were sometimes also used to drop crude bombs. Draken became obselete with the appearance of airships in the Ice War. Initially draken were also termed airships but the usage has fallen out of favor.
