After hearing word of the initial capture of the Holy Roman capital, Krzysztoff declares that his Kingdom shall be called the Holy Polish Empire.

The War of Holy Empires
(Holy Poland vs. Holy Rome)

The Emperor orders an attack on his neighboring Baltic state, moving 37,000 Cavalry, 30,000 Infantry, 140 Siege Companies, and 100 Artillery Batteries. With most of the Holy Roman armies in the Balkans, there was little to stop the invasion beyond field forts and walls. Pomern and Kolberg, the capital, fall in short order. The Polish army scours the streets of Kolberg looking for the Holy Roman government, but they are nowhere to be found. The Poles consider razing the capital in the search, but hold off, as it would only make things harder.

Disappointed, the Polish host moves into Pomern, quickly pacifying the region and laying seige to Stettin. Here, luck falls against the Poles, when two Princes in the army are captured by the town garrison and smuggled out of the city. [GM Note: Attackers in a Siege always have worse odds when checking Leader Fate - 1 in 6 instead of 1 in 10]. In the final move, Saxony is taken before the Polish army must winter for the cycle. The mystery of Kolberg is solved when the remnants of the Holy Roman government emerge from a hidden fortress in Kolberg. With no garrison present, the city falls back to Holy Roman control. It is unlikely the trick will save them a second time, however.
