King Baber decides on drastic measures to deal with the spread of there Heretical Islamic faith within his borders. He orders their properties seized and given to Sunni families. Many of the regions were allied directly to the states, and those leaders felt the shock and betrayal immediately. Revolts quickly erupted, though the first one in Uzebek was crushed by Imperial Agents.
Two Imperial Leaders in Khiva and Khwarzim would be the first to come under attack. Leading 9,200 Cavalry, 5,800 Infantry, 20 batteries of artillery and 8 companies of engineers against the local forces of 3,800 Infantry and 6 field forts. Unfortunately, both Imperial Leaders were less than able commanders while the Khwarzim general was rather good. The Imperial host would be pushed from the region, leaving 400 Cavalry, 400 Infantry and one company of engineers dead on the field. The Khwarzim lost 600 Infantry and all their forts.

The
Mameluke Sultanate
(
Q'arum in Mansura )
Sunni Islamic, Tech Level 009 - Renaissance
Sultan Hafas
Diplomacy and Warfare: Axum [P], Kassala [P]
The Sultan succumbs t the Kanem Emperor's begging and sends a little bit of cash to help out the besieged nation. Then he sends forces into Ethiopia and Arguin.
The Arguin Argument
1661 - Spring: Milan moves a leader and troops from the nearby city of Milven into Arguin in preparation for a Florentine convoy to arrive with more troops and the resources for a city build. At the same time, a Swiss leader has a rendezvous with a Mameluke general and his forces. They set sail as well.
1661 - Summer: Both the Florentine and Mameluke fleets arrive off the coast of Arguin, both landing troops and resources for a conduit city. When the forces discover each other, both demand the other's withdrawal from the region. A standoff ensues.
1661 - Fall: Tensions escalate between the two groups, and suddenly there is fighting. Milan and Florence command 800 cavalry, 400 Infantry and 4 massive artillery batteries while the Swiss and Mamelukes command 6,000 light infantry. Even though the Italians only lose 200 cavalry (To the Mamelukes 600 infantry), they are pushed from the field. Both sides settle in for winter.
1662 - Spring: A second skirmish erupts, this one a complete stalemate. The Italians lose another 200 cavalry, but leave 1,200 of the light infantry littering the field.
1662 - Summer: Both armies reorganize, then go at each other once again. This time the Mamelukes are forced from the field in good order, losing 1,400 infantry to another 200 Italian cavalry.
1662 - Fall: The Mamelukes push back into the fray, killing the last of the Italian cavalry and also managing to wound the Florentine leader (drastically reducing the command ability of the Italians), however the Mamelukes and Swiss are down to only 1,800 Infantry.
1663 - Spring: Hoping to press the command advantage before the end of the cycle, the Mamelukes push the attack, this time pushing the Italians from the field with 2 of their artillery batteries destroyed. Another 600 light infantry are dead.
1663 - Fall: The Italians make one final push before winter sets in. The fighting is bloody, and the Italians limp from the field with only 200 Infantry and 2 artillery batteries remaining. They would learn that among the 600 dead Mameluke infantry was the Swiss commander. The wounded Mameluke leader manages to reorganize his 600 remaining infantry.
1663 - Winter: Both sides again settle in, neither able to complete the conduit city as intended.

Makes me want to cry.] Missionaries are sent to South Afrika, then the Sultan gears up for the continuation of the Ethiopian Campaign.
Three Adalese leaders launch an attack into Adowa at the head of 8,800 Cavalry, 8,400 Infantry and 22 companies of engineers. Ethiopia, obviously outnumbered, retreats into the city of Shoa and it's 80 foot walls. Adal pacifies the region without resistance, then launches an assault against the walls. It takes two separate attacks before they are breached, and during the first, one Adalese leader is captured. In the end, though, the Ethiopian commander flees the city with his army, hightailing it into Lalibela.
The Adalese host would follow, and again the Ethiopian general would retreat into the walled city. In two more attacks, Aksum would fall as well, the Ethiopian force weakened and fleeing back to the capital.

Battle is brought to bear in Hausa between Kanem's 12,400 Infantry plus some 10,000 mercenaries and the Asante host of 42,000. Kanem is forced to withdraw leaving 5,000 dead to the Asante's 3,200. Rather than pursue, the Asante dig into Hausa and defend, waiting for the counterattack from Kanem to come. It does, and the Kanem troops are ambushed. They rout, leaving 9,200 dead on the field. Only 800 of the Asante men are lost.

The second attack sees less casualties for the Asante, and the complete destruction of the Kanem forts. Finally, in a third round of combat, the Kanem forces, and the Jos ally are slain to a man.
